¨El Portillo¨ area is 2200 meters above sea level, there is always sunny blue sky. The average temperatures, at noon, between spring and autumn range between +15 and +21 degrees. In winter they range between +1 and +10 degrees, there may be some very cold winter days that drop to -5 degrees and snow fall in the area.

Around there are several houses and restaurants, it is also close to the ¨Izaña¨ astrophysical observatory. The house is located in a strategic place for astronomical observation.
